Artist Betsy Alexander has long had a love affair with sunsets, snow and Alaska. When she discovered that the FAA (Federal Aviation Agency) had webcams setup all over Alaska as an aide to pilots who needed to know current weather conditions before plotting a flight, she began visitng them on the internet and capturing images of the Alaskan sky. She then took her favorites and used them as reference material for a series of miniature acrylic paintings.
