Designed as an art work to portray the city, its struggles and promise, and initiate a search for a solutions, this website has been been awarded best Detroit website accolades by the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Detroit MetroTimes and Detroit's Hour Magazine.

Along with it's sister sites SoulfulDetroit.com and The Lost Synagogues of Detroit, it attracts over 2 million visitors a year and host the liveliest discussion about Detroit on the Internet.

The project is the creation of Detroit artist Lowell Boileau and is supported by the generous donations of visitors and through purchase made through this gift shop.
