ARTIST HISTORY:
Ricky DaVale Johnson discovered his musical talent at a very young age. He used to sing songs at the age of 8 with his older brother to whatever was playing on the radio. Although he didn't know exactly how he was making those sounds from his voice, he felt a deep emotion whenever he sang. Even though he was young, this emotion was unlike anything else in his daily young life. As the years went by, he was always close to his brother until his brother passed away when DaVale was a teenager. He always cherished the times they sang together and will never forget the times he made him sing even when he didn't feel like it. DaVale always thanks God for the talent that He has given to him but also knows that it was not given to misuse the gift. God has to be in a persons' life in order to have peace of mind in the things they do. "All things that are truly good only come from God". DaVale formerly began his adult professional career with the group "U.N.V." before they got their break with Maverick Records. His friends have always told him that he had what it takes to be a star some day if he stuck to it. With that in mind, DaVale is fully prepared to do "Whatever It Takes" to be a "positive" success. Now living in Detroit, DaVale has determined that it is time to release the music of his soul. He is an accomplished BMI songwriter as well as a producer and vocalist.
